GRINDER

GRADE: 3-4  LENGTH: 1.6KM

BUILT:
In 1997 by Fred Christensen and Evan Freshwater.
Tuned up over the years by Nigel Robinson.
GETTING THERE:
Starts from Katore Rd, a short distance up from the intersection with Nursery Rd and just beyond the entry/exit to Soakhole Trail.
TRAIL DESCRIPTION:
Downhill rolling old school track, moderately fast flowing singletrack with some small berms and jumps, and a few roots for added interest. Dense forest canopy makes for a sudden dark entry off the road, but it keeps a lot of the rain off, making this is a good trail to ride when trails are wet elsewhere.
GETTING OUT:
If you take the obvious right turn at the bottom of the descent it exits on Nursery Rd. opposite an entry to The Dipper. Or you can turn left at that turnoff and ride more of Grinder - it's gentle downhill, but will involve some pedalling on a couple of short uphill sections. At the trail end you'll be on Nursery Rd. From here either turn right to head back to the core network trails, or turn left and follow Nursery Rd. to access trails further out.
