Grade 2. Length 1km. Built in 2007 by Murray Avery.

Starts from Reservoir at the bottom end of Hill Rd ends on String Rd.
Takes you from Reservoir Rd to Sandy Skid. From there you ride up the road to the start of Pondy New.
YBF was put in to keep bikes off 8 Mile Gate Rd & allows you to link easily with the new & sweet tracks out back. Thanks to the Rotorua MTB club.
And what's more, it's a well-built track that holds up to all weather. The hill side is steep but the gradient and switch backs are so well designed and constructed you can power up it. At the top it runs around the ridge line before a fast, short, steep descent to Sandy Skid...and on to Pondy New.
All weather winner.

Hello Lucie
RIDERS COMMENTS:
Great trail that makes and excellent loop with Pondy New.

A meander along 8 mile gate, instead of 8 mile gate. You get it?

So much nicer than slogging up 8 Mile. Really well thought out, fast and fun.
