Loop Length: approx. 12.5km

Trail grades: 2 and 3

Notes: There are several sections where you could choose slight variations to get to the next trail. e.g. On Tahi there are a couple of options which will still get you to the right place to get onto the next trail.

Tak's after-work-ride: As well as his ownership of the prolific Mountain Bike Rotorua retail, bike hire and container cafe operation at the Waipa MTB carpark, Tak Mutu is largely responsible for successfully bringing Crankworx to Rotorua. When asked for one of his favourite loops he replied:

"My favourite loop is my after work ride with my mates/whanau. We go up Tokorangi Pa Rd. to the high point overlooking the city. We take a few moments to check out the awesome views before hitting Corridor, Tokorangi trail and Turkish Delight.

Then we head over to the new Genesis block and ride Te Huinga trail (also known by the locals as Dirk’s Line or G-Line), then back up to the start again to ride Challenge Roadside, the last bit of The Dipper trail and we're done.

We talk heaps, stop for each other and just generally have a good time. No big egos in the group needing to get down the hill the fastest, just enjoying the riding!"

Take a map so you can follow along and really enjoy your ride without getting confused in the busy network of tracks:
