Club Racing
Just to keep you up to date with club racing, next Sunday 4/7 will be the first round of the Central Region Winter Series at Rotorua. Everyone is welcome a great opportunity for final racing prep for Worlds & to ride our new berms! A great crowd is expected so come along & join in the fun.
To accommodate travellers, registration will be 9.30am-10.30am & racing will start 11am.
If you are keen to come along, the club would appreciate pre-registration to speed up registration on the day. Please email name, UCI age, club & bike number to: rotovegasbmx@hotmail.com. Thanks.
Please ensure number plates are on the bikes for racing.
Central Region Winter Series dates over the four Sundays as follows:
4 July - Rotorua
18 July - Taupo
22 August - Tauranga
29 August - Gisborne
Check in times 9.30 to 10.30 and racing at 11am. $2.00 entry
New Start Gate
After further success with grant funding, we are expecting our new aluminium safety start gate to be installed by the end of July. This will give plenty of time for you all to practice!
Track Working Bee Advanced Notice
We are planning to relime the track during the first weekend in September (4th & 5th) to ensure the tracks all ready for Pre-Norths.
Mighty 11s & Senior Test Team Dinner
The Test Team dinner has been booked for Thursday night 21/10 at the Kingsgate Hotel. The venue is awesome & we are expecting this will be a great night. Bookings will be sought closer to the time.

2009 BMX WORLDS, JULY 22-26, ADELAIDE
After months of anticipation and hard out training, the 2009 World Champs were in Adelaide - July 20-26. FULL RESULTS...
Sarah Walker, World Champion won the BMX final on Saturday then the Elite Cruiser class (larger 24" wheel) on Sunday!
The UCI BMX World Championships was staged indoors at the Adelaide Showgrounds. It incorporated the Challenge Class (age groups) and Elite Class for both the BMX World Championship and Cruiser Class (20 inch diameter) World Championship.
